- TAPEI KEELUNG TAIWAN
Keelung City is a port city near Taipei, in northern Taiwan. Surrounded by mountains, it’s known for its sheltered harbor. Near the waterfront, street-food stalls at Miaokou Night Market offer traditional snacks and seafood. Several forts around the area include hilltop Ershawan Fort, with cannons and a Chinese-style gate. Both Gongzi Liao Fort and Dawulun Fort offer views over the harbor and ocean.
- KAOSHIUNG
Kaohsiung is of strategic importance to the nation as the city is the main port city of Taiwan; the Port of Kaohsiung is the largest and busiest harbor in Taiwan and more than 67% of the nation's exports and imports container throughput goes through Kaohsiung.
- SALOMAGUE
With three UNESCO World Heritage sites in the region, Ilocos is an unsung treasure in the Philippines. Charming Vigan is a top choice – this UNESCO-protected 16th-century town about one hour south of Salomague is recognized as the best-preserved example of a Spanish colonial town in Asia. Meanwhile, the Santa Maria Church and Paoay Church, also UNESCO sites, feature fortress-like structures and local motifs that reflect a unique 16th-century architectural style that is a Philippine interpretation of European Baroque. For adventures closer to the port of Salomague, head to the white sandy beaches of Cabugao.
- MANILA
Manila, the capital of the Philippines, is a densely populated bayside city on the island of Luzon, which mixes Spanish colonial architecture with modern skyscrapers. Intramuros, a walled city in colonial times, is the heart of Old Manila. It’s home to the baroque 16th-century San Agustin Church as well as Fort Santiago, a storied citadel and former military prison.
- BORACAY
Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines. It's known for its resorts and beaches. Along the west coast, White Beach is backed by palm trees, bars and restaurants. On the east coast, strong winds make Bulabog Beach a hub for water sports. Nearby, the observation deck on Mount Luho offers panoramic views over the island. Offshore, coral reefs and shipwrecks are home to diverse marine life.
- PUERTO PRINCESA
Puerto Princesa is a coastal city on Palawan Island in the western Philippines. It's a base for boat trips through the massive limestone caves and underground river of the biodiverse Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. Dive sites are dotted around Puerto Princesa Bay, home to long-nosed dolphins, turtles and rays. Close to the port is the 19th-century Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral.
- KOTA KINABALU
Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Malaysia’s Sabah state in the northern part of the island of Borneo. Often referred to as KK, it’s a coastal city partly surrounded by rainforest. It's known for its bustling markets, modern boardwalk, beaches and waterfront Kota Kinabalu City Mosque. It is also a gateway to Kinabalu National Park, the home of 4,095m-high Mount Kinabalu.
- MUARA
Muara Town or simply Muara is a port town in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei, about 28 kilometres from the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The population of the town proper was 2,102 in 2016. It is home to Muara Port, the country's primary deep water port.
- NHA TRANG
Nha Trang is a coastal resort city in southern Vietnam known for its beaches, diving sites and offshore islands. Its main beach is a long, curving stretch along Tran Phu Street backed by a promenade, hotels and seafood restaurants.
- PHU MY HO CHI MINH CITY
Phu My (pronounced Foo Me) is the port for Ho Chi Minh City which is an hour and a half away (80 miles) over a new expressway opened in 2014. HCMC was previously called Saigon and this name is still used by locals and also refers to the main district 1.
